On this night, there came together three bands: No Heaven Awaits Us, Destiny and Most Precious Blood. Needless to say, the opening acts were heavy and sounded great. And I enjoyed listening to the power of the Polish bands and watching the hunger of the crowd thrashing about in a hellish frenzy. And then came Most Precious Blood.

From the moment they stepped on stage, the fans went wild. The skulls crushed and the bones broke on this night. And let me tell you, I was in hardcore heaven ! They ran into a small problem with sound. A fan (one of many) got onto the stage for a dive, and in the process, disconnected Rob’s mic. At that time, the band couldn’t figure what the problem was. So everything came to a stand still after the first song. But shortly after, the Mozg, pronounced Moozg (The Brain), came back to life and Most Precious Blood were back on.

Most Precious Blood have really loved touring in Poland. Each time they played a club and were leaving the stage, the crowd screamed Most Precious Blood repeatedly until they went back on for two more songs. And even then… the crowd roared for more. When they played in Katowice, they experienced an uneasy feeling, being the entire club was filled with Skins. Skins seem to gather in the south of Poland. MPB became anxious because the skins became aggressive and were diving onto the stage and grabbing equipment to possibly throw out into the audience. As soon as they played the last song, the band packed up and left as quickly as possible. In Wroclaw, there were your usual hardcore fans. MPB said that Wroclaw was the best show yet. On the way to Bydgoszcz they witnessed a gruesome traffic accident where a man’s leg was completely severed off. A grim reminder of how dangerous the roads are in Poland.

In Bydgoszcz, they will certainly be remembered and eagerly awaited for the next tour to Poland. I liked them for their music, but most importantly, they will be remembered for their personalities and interesting qualities and talents.

LYZA MCENTIRE: Poland is a very religious country. Your album cover has caused quite a bit of controversy. Maybe even offended a lot of people,,,

ROB FUSCO: Maybe they should be questioned as to why. A lot of people really have this frustrating inability to see things from perspectives other than your own. And so if we are able to shift paradox’s a little bit and maybe piss a few people off in the process, I’m all smiles. That’s the kind of shit that I like. To me, that’s half the purpose of art. It’s good to get a reaction. Interaction with self expression.

LM: What do you think of the Polish audiences?

ROB: I had this incredible experience in Katowice. We showed up at around 2 in the morning after getting hopelessly lost in one of the blackest forests I had ever seen... And we showed up, and it was like walking into a room and the music suddenly stops playing and everyone just stops and looks. We hurryingly got the equipment and set up. It was almost like a prison riot ! All these Skins. They seemed to dig what we were doing. It was probably the most violent show we’ve ever done. It was a scary show. I spent more than half the show clinging onto Sean’s drums. I don’t know where to begin! People getting ripped off the ground and thrown. Guitars being shoved into our chests repeatedly, like to the beat of a song we were playing. I got lifted up by one dude straight up, then another guy tries to push me and throw be backwards. So I’m kicking him in the face. And I finally get dropped. It freaked me out ! I don’t trust anyone having the balance or common sense or purpose of mind to make sure I don’t fall on my fucking head. No fucking way. I’m not taking that risk. If the crowd is packed, then ok…
About the show in Katowice… I tried to end it quickly. And some dude pushed through the crowd and quite seriously pointed his finger at me and said “Play more or die”. “All right, we’ve got three more!!!”.
The Polish like their encores I guess. So we rocked it really quick and then we bolted. We loaded up, we just threw everything in half-ass. And then these Skins started chasing each other around with guns! So we just pealed the fuck out of there lick-ity split. Eastern Europe is hungry! We put on a good show and stayed alive!!!!
We’re particularly pleased to be here (Poland). We’ll come back. Let’s say the audience increases by 20% or 30%, that’s a victory. We’re slowly but surely increasing our fan base through hard work. Hold on, I got something I want to show you….
Now my Latin isn’t the very best. (looking at Slovenian currency with an inscription) I’m assuming this, which reads Dolces Exaboya Fructis, means Sweet are the Fruits of Labor. That seems to make sense to me. That’s really what keeps us going. Hard work pays off. We don’t know how to take it easy for what we do as a band. We go out there, we love what we do. The experience, we take it with us. I’m thankful for it all.
