| German power metal veterans Gamma Ray make a run for past glories with a sequel to Land of the Free on the 12-track Land of the Free II, retaining much of the style and atmosphere of arguably their best work to date. Rousing guitar work, solid melodic vocals, and a plethora of fist-pumping, adrenaline-raising tunes like the fancy fretwork leading "When The World", "Rain" and "Hear Me Calling" exhibit surefire ways to get the blood flowing while tracks like "To Mother Earth" flex the mighty power metal muscle this band has amassed since its inception. While Gamma Ray has gone off the tried and true track every now and then, the respected unit have made a positive turn to bring their sound back to it roots with fine form on this exalted offering. | ||
