This is the first release for the All Boro Kings. Comprised of members of Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, and Murphy's Law, the group has put together a good-time party record for your listening pleasure. Vocalist Sean Kilkenny lends the dynamic illustration and narration through this wonderland of fun.
Guitarist Danny Nastasi gives shape to the compositions with a level of playing proficiency not usually seen in bands of this genre--alternately heavy and chugging and metallic, then veering into the realms of classic punk. Bassist Dave Neabore lays down a heavy end that weaves seamlessly through the guitar work, punctuating the phrasing and adding emphasis to the high energy drumming of Booge. Mixing elements of hardcore, punk, and rap, most of the songs are short and to the point. Party odes likes the title track "Just For The Fun Of It", "Twist The Cap", and "12-Pack" let you know where their allegiance lies. Rock/rap songs like "Blowin' Smoke" and "Who Likes To Party" and simultaneously reminiscent of Sabotage-era Beastie Boys as well as any of a handful of Limp Bizkit styled tunes. It's all in good fun. Ending the cd with the tune that they usually end their live sets with, "Broke, Drunk, And I Wanna Get Fucked", the boys have compiled a disc that can do nothing short of put you in a party mood.
