If you're an avid fan of the Bouncing Souls, this DVD set is a perfect gift for you. Even if punk rock doesn't appeal to you, Do You Remember will definitely be part of your collection eventually. Unlike the cheesy VH1 and E! Entertainment documentaries, the double collection has excellent imagery of past concerts, rare footage, music videos, photos and stories of their passion for music
. Who knew this punk band would gain their influences from the late Johnny Cash, U2, and even Barbara Streisand? Not unless you had their latest DVD. From their early beginnings of teens not wanting to go to college, owning punk houses, and eventually becoming homeless, Bouncing Souls will expose the truth behind their endless journey to music nirvana. Describing music as a "chemical reaction," these guys will literally sit in front of your living room couch and tell you their stories. You will hear bassist Bryan Kienlen’s graphic account of his painful knee incidents, which will leave you howling in distress. You will also discover their anguished feelings over the music industry, by making anti-MTV signs. Not only will you hear what the Bouncing Souls have to say about themselves, old housemates and futon shop manager Kate Hiltz will also recollect the thoughts of their "punk carnivals" and their beloved fan blazing in flames. Other than just interviews, viewers will also obtain hours of deleted scenes, home movies, and 50 live tracks. Jeff Aluis and Ryan Harlin do an exceptional job at making the reality of punk music come to life. Once you're done watching Do You Remember, you will not only appreciate the anxieties bands go through, but also have great respect for the Bouncing Souls. Whether you're fans of the Bouncing Souls or discovering them for the first time, they will prove to be the quintessential image of what punk music defines to be. If you're a music fan (and who isn't) you must be crazy not to purchase such a staggering, awesome collection. Do You Remember is purely amazing.
