CENOBITES DEMONS TO SOME… …ANGELS TO OTHERS DRUNKABILLY |
LINKS: |
You’ve really got to love a band who thanks, first and foremost, “the man who invented beer”. Fuzzed ‘60s surf guitar opens the first cut, “Voodoo Beat”, bopping along for a few minutes before you hear “Welcome to hell…" and the slammin’ Motorhead influenced speed thrash beat of “My Mission” comes barreling out of the speakers. |

| Add some totally punked out vocals replete with a shouting background chorus. This is the world of the Cenobites. It’s from Holland. It’s fun and nasty—a blend of punk, speed, thrash, rockabilly, and psycho elements. These guys state their main influences as Demented Are Go! and Motorhead—and it definitely shows. Tunes such as “Extreme Fit”, “Fuck Off”, and “Lady Luck”, and my personal favorite, “Dumb Girls Don’t Suck” show off their angst as well as their humor. If this doesn’t get you moving, you need to check yourself for a pulse. Also, be careful with this one while you’re driving, as it may cause you to rack up a few tickets—especially while listening to “Pink Slip” with its catchy refrain of “eighty miles an hour and I don’t care…”. | ||
