The two bands featured on this split CD are as crusty as they come. Crustier than a Mrs. Smith's pie. The deep-dish kind, folks. No joke. Up first, the septet with the comical name, Cream Abdul Babar. This interstate project unleashes its four tracks of dastardly dissonance and driving dollops of un-derivative abrasiveness. Check out the interestingly titled "Cocaine Pinata" for proof that post-hardcore and crust metal go hand in hand.

Wipe the sludge away, people, because up next are the equally crusty Kylesa, whose astonishing usage of guitar pedals and state of the art electronics mingle with some good old fashioned ass stomping grooves. Titling its five track offering I-V (very Sesame Street of them), don't be discouraged by the lack of catchy song names, for the sheer power of the music is more than any clever song title could be.
