Here’s another disc from my favorite Dutch Oi! street punk’n’roll band. They’re uptempo and energetic. Opening with “Everywhere We Go”, which was previously on their EPof the same name, they set the tempo and tone for the next 12 tracks.
They are definitely a gang of hooligans that play loud, fast, angry, and unrepentant. The title track, “Saints and Sinners” is a battle cry calling both “the rich and the poor to stand and fight today”. Joost and the boys never waiver from their tried and true formula. And there’s something so damn comforting about that. Songs such as “Dirty World” and “Hail Hail Rock & Roll”—and fully half the tracks here—are kick-in-the-ass motivators. But my faves are “Same Old Story” (guess cuz it’s exactly how I feel about my –ex) and “These Boots”. (Need more info? Then go to the features section and read their story.)
