This bass and drum combo is minimalist for certain, yet the stripped down sounds of songs like "Forbidden Fruit" and "You Suck Sucker" pack a wallop that most full bands wish they could emulate. Call it post riot-grrrl, Midwest grunge, or a female stab at the White Stripes, but don't forget to mention that Evil Beaver's nine-track endeavor rocks with unbridled fury and an unsurpassed wryness.
