Only hearing two samples from their forthcoming album Homicidal Ranting, I sense an enthralling album that will surely put these guys on the map. Being called a "musical brutality," these guys will entice you with their singles. Starting out as a typical garage band, My Favorite Plaid Straightjacket was determined to "expose life's demons," through their music.

With the ironic help of R&B producer Alex Morris, Homicidal Rantings sounds like an album worth stealing my money. It's too bad I was deprived of their entire album, since their two tracks were simply addicting. With the ironic help of R&B producer Alex Morris, Homicidal Rantings sounds like an album worth stealing my money. It's too bad I was deprived of their entire album, since their two tracks were simply addicting. In "Stop The Ride," the funky, yet fast drumbeats blended perfectly with the vocals of James Sawyer. You can actually hear their lyrics, unlike the frightful band Exit to Eternity. These lyrics surely illustrated trapped fury within the human mind, which was pleasant to hear. Although there was too much growling for comfort, the track continues to linger, until it makes a sudden stop. Don't be surprised to see yourself bopping to silence when the track is over. Their rhythm is intoxicating to the body. "I Think I Hate You" only gets better, which has a different sound to previous track. This is definitely a plus; it leaves listeners entertained and surprise at the same time. The vocals of James Sawyer show more strength and less roaring. Lyrics were clearer enough to join in, which you will! As always, the sounds of guitarist Alex Clem and bass guitarist Scott Lambert make a perfect collaboration, which sounds diverse from what is being heard on radio. Entertaining, intense, alive, diverse...what could I want more in a band. Definitely check out their upcoming album and you'll be surprised at how much you enjoy this rabid metal band.
