Mnemic sounds like Static X (if the weird coiffed outfit hailed from Sweden), so it's no surprise that this Danish quintet's punishing nine-track endeavor, that spans the metal spectrum, is a kick ass release. Bridging the gaping hole between Fear Factory and In Flames, Mnemic's rapid-fire metal delivery, found in such pummeling tracks as "DB'XX'D" and "The Naked and the Dead," elicits headbanging, fist pumping, and horned hands aplenty.
Keyboards, drum triggers, tuned-down guitars that rattle your skull, and a metal throat that rivals heavy music's upper echelon are all evident here, and when placed in the same concoction, it makes for a gripping metal journey.
