They have been on a 15-year hiatus, but the band Omen has returned. Even though most of the original members aren't part of the reunion, the nine-track Eternal Black Dawn finds the metal flame still burning bright for the quartet. Playing a style of power metal in the vein of Dio, Armored Saint, and early Queensryche, Omen's chops are still very strong and tight, albeit a tad outdated. No matter, for there is a thirst for the glory days of power metal, and Omen, armed with opuses like "House on Rue Royale" and "Blood Feud", appear ready to pick up the sword and fight for metal.
