RADIATION
4 WONDERLAND ABACUS |
|
| Radiation 4 is dead set on challenging the listener, and the band does an ample job of just that. On the California quartet's nine-track introduction to the realm of heavy music, this outfit goes the extra mile to create some boundary pushing music. With influences that stem from every Mike Patton project this side of Faith No More to all of those odd-timed hardcore troupes like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Radiation 4 decries the mundane and forges ahead through the road less traveled. | ||
| . Despite working with a defined blueprint in mind, the band does a fine job in creating its own identity. Creating unsettling cacophonies along the way, Radiation 4, much like its predecessors, is at times unmelodic, chaotic, cryptic, and enthralling. If you like music that takes unexpected twists and turns, then this band's version of hardcore is something to behold. | ||
